DEBBIES CLOVER is a 16.2hh mare x FARNEY CLOVER x CLOVER HILL the renowned Irish Draught stallion. Out of the mare DEBBIES SLIPPER by TB BLUE LANZA and Grand dam by the the TB stallion AUTUMN SLIPPER who stood in Co Clare in the 1980s. DEBBIES CLOVER has bred many champions and her 2010 and 2011 foals both by the TB sire Emperor Augustus have won the All Ireland 3 Year Old Championship 2013 and the All Ireland 2 Year Old Filly Championship 2014.


DEBBIES CLOVER grandsire "CLOVER HILL was one of the two great performance stallions of modern times. He was a registered Irish Draught, a signal honour for a half thoroughbred horse, a son of the racehorse GOLDEN BREAKER. CLOVER HILL was put on the stallion register by Dick Jennings, the last of the old time stallion inspectors who made a ground breaking decision to register this half thoroughbred horse which in the fullness of time gave Ireland so many jumping champions. We have no Irish Draught stallions today of the calibre of Clover Hill. He is one of our greatest sires - with his progeny and their achievements - a colt which travelled from the west of Ireland to Philip Heenan in Tipperary and made an indelible mark on Irish breeding.
